The aim of this course is to teach techniques and best practice for the general maintenance of bows belonging to musicians.
The Parisian rehairing technique will be taught, as well as the techniques and points of attention to ensure that bows remain in optimum condition for conservation and playing.
Basic repair techniques will also be covered: how to make the various fittings, screws and nuts and adjust the frog, pearls and coverings, and head plates.
These various points will be dealt with in greater depth on an individual basis according to the specific needs of the participants, at their request. To this end, we will discuss and define a personal programme with each participant before registering for the course.
