For the third time at the Aldafi Forum, Almuth McWilliams and Damien Sainmont will be teaching advance restoration techniques and pass on their knowledge.
This 8-day course is aimed at violin makers who already work in the profession and want to improve their skills and knowledge in both repair and restoration. Students should bring their own instruments restoration projects to work on. The tutors will provide help with everybody’s individual restoration. Furthermore they will teach general restoration techniques such as crack repair, fitting patches, making plaster casts and neck grafts at the highest standards.
