The CAMPUS INTERNATIONAL ALADFI is organised over a period of 15 days in the same place of work and residence (La Ferme de Villefavard in Limousin (France)).
This 5th edition includes:
· An open workshop: violin making and bow making
NEW for 2026 :
- New courses have been set up for you to complement your training in areas of particular interest to us: discover all the courses HERE
- Including a three-day “Carte Blanche” with Peter Oxley on methods specific to English bow making
- as well as 2 new topics about pigment making and new materials and techniques by Pierre Flavetta.
- And for the bow-making workshop: preparation of a copy of a rather special Tourte bow: the one that accompanied the Guarneri del Gesù violin bought by Menuhin from Juliette Maury in Villefavard.
- As part of the “Guarneri project”, we will have the opportunity to welcome Stéphanie-Marie Degand and three students from the CNSM for comparative tests on the original instrument and the copies currently being made.
- Claudia Fritz (accompanied by Adam Lipinsky) will supervise the acoustic experiments involving all these violins.
